hello! still here...

Hi there!

Idle Needle has been idle. Life and quiet pondering moods took over a bit, and the blog took place on the back burner, hence the near-month-long radio silence...

Updates coming soon on thrifting, crafting and the weather!

PS. Those dusky pink coloured roses were found by our friend on the way to our home, they were lying on the pavement cast away in their cellophane wrapper, kept company by a few empty pea pods and an apple core. They delighted us on the kitchen table for a night and a day before they inevitably shed their papersilk-like petals. I don't usually fall for pinky tones, but these roses made my heart ache with their delicate pink hues, on the verge of decay, yet still so sublimely beautiful... I won't brood over it too much I promise, but does autumn makes you melancholic too?

  1. Hello Aniko,
good to see that you are still there. I love fall, I don't know if it makes me melancholic, I would say no. But the light is leaving, and so it is a bad time for blog fotos.
    Greetings from Germany!

    1. Hi Steph! I love autumn too, but the crazy sudden downturn in the lightconditions is messing with my brain chemistry....hence the melancholy I reckon. And it is definitly not in favour of indoor photography. Hello to hazy grey blogposts :)

  2. The flowers are beautiful! I went to my blog recently and found I had not been on it for a whole month! It happens! It's nice to see you are around, I love your flea market finds. :) I can smell those flowers from here... nectar! xx

    1. Hi Louise! It's easy to miss a whole month sometimes, I know that you are a busy and productive girl! I am a bit jealous of you as you must have lovely spring weather and springtime moods over there! Having said that I'm quite looking forward to the huge snow banks that are being promised by the late autumn winds and the frantically feeding sparrows and bluetits... Thanks for loving my flea finds - hope they will amuse you today too! x

  3. Nope, not a fan of fall, although it can be beautiful! But I do not like the change of light and the feeling that come with it..I love the pink and green together! But Pink is one of my favorite colors and the green is growing on me :-)

    1. Yeah, the sudden dimming of the sunlight and the shortness of the day is a bummer... it gets better here once there is snow on the ground because that brightens everything. until then it's pretty dingy, october is probably the hardest month because of the in-between feeling. I really enjoyed those pink and minty green colours together too! xx
